Raising Awareness, Supporting Change: Alcohol Awareness Month | April 2025

April is Alcohol Awareness Month; a time to shed light on the impact alcohol can have on individuals, families, and communities. Whether it’s social drinking, binge drinking, or alcohol dependency, understanding the risks and recognizing the signs of problematic alcohol use is the first step toward prevention and finding support.

Alcohol is one of the most commonly used substances, and while it’s often normalized in social settings, excessive use can lead to serious health issues, including liver disease, high blood pressure, depression, isolation, and increased risk of accidents or injury. Beyond physical health, alcohol misuse affects mental well-being, functioning, relationships, work performance, and more.

This month, it is encouraged that everyone take a moment to reflect on their own relationship with alcohol, engage in open conversations, and support loved ones who may be struggling. Early intervention and seeking support can make a profound difference.

If you or someone you know is concerned about alcohol use, you’re not alone and help is available. Reach out to us any time for a free consultation to discuss how we can help you through addictions.
