May is mental health awareness month, a time to learn about mental wellness strategies and impacts. To participate, we’ve compiled a list of one activity to do each day of the month!
– Write 5 things you are grateful for in your phone, in a journal, or just on the nearest sticky note!
– Go outside for more than ten minutes. This can be on a walk, a run, or sitting on your front step/balcony.
– Do a hobby for an hour that doesn’t involve a screen. Try reading, colouring, crocheting, yoga, writing, or anything else!
– Call a friend or family member.
– Watch your favourite movie.
– Spend the first hour of the morning not checking any notifications. This includes news, emails, texts, etc.
– Do a 5 minute mindfulness meditation.
– Try something new! This could be a new food, activity, chatting with a stranger, going to a new place…
